Absolutes (part 2)



The top band here is the bottom section of the old method of coloring. The bottom band is the new method of coloring. You can see the diagonals feed from one section to the bottom since they represent the same information.

 




Now we can see much more clearly that the bottom feeds back into the top, as it should. This might look even prettier wrapped onto a cylinder. There really is no "top" since the top row does the same operation every other row does.



 




Like the first method of coloring, eventually, there is a blue-ing out, but this one comes from the imprecision of Excel rather than values getting closer to zero. To be honest, I'm surprised it took this long for it to happen! Click the image for a closer look.
